About the Wedding

Leanne & Nick met through a mutual friend in a bar on a spur of the moment night out. Nick proposed at sunset on a secluded beach on the Greek Island of Rhodes. The couple chose to marry in October, both being autumn lovers and wanted to create a rustic autumnal theme with “lots of foliage and candles everywhere.” To ensure the day felt personal, groom Nick collected lots of cable drums and made every sign as well as all of the wedding stationary. Claire from Hibiscus Floral Design created stunning pieces for the vaulted barn as well as beautiful table centres complete with tall candles and large bouquets for the bride and her maids.

Stunning bride Leanne found her whimsical Ellis Bridal dress in Fairytale Weddings boutique in Towcester. Her look was completed with make up by Scarlet Jeavons and hair by Kate Lodge. The bridesmaids’ embellished gowns were ASOS own brand and the groom wore Ted Baker, with the usher’s suits from Next.

Of their venue choice Nick says “We have always loved the countryside so ideally we wanted a farm or barn style venue so Crockwelll was just perfect for that! We especially loved the space and size of Crockwell and the fact you can really make it your own as well as the fact that its perfect for all the British weather conditions! It rained pretty badly on our wedding day but Crockwell still looked beautiful and it didn’t affect our day at all.”

Photographer Ania Ames has captured the day perfectly – our thanks to her and to the lovely couple for allowing us to share their wedding with you.
