Wedding season is most definitely in full swing here at Crockwell. We have had a great start to the season with some stunning weddings and as we start to make our way into the summer months we look back on what a spring wedding has to offer.
If you are reading this we wonder if you may be interested in a Spring wedding in 2017, for your information the Spring Bank Holidays are available ie Easter Monday 17th April, Monday 1st May and Monday 29th May – have a look at our online calendar

A spring wedding always has a feeling of freshness and new beginnings. Blossom on the trees, a slight chill in the air, daffodils in the gardens, the tulips bursting into life in the tubs and guests enjoying soft afternoon sunshine.  The gardens at Crockwell are impeccably groomed on a regular basis and provide a stunning back drop for reception drinks and photos of the newlyweds. Whether it is a group shot under the walnut tree from the old Farmhouse window, or a perfect couple in the meadow with daffodils sweeping at their feet – it really is a photographers dream.

Spring weddings with blossom. Spring flower arrangement.

Spring also means scent, and many spring flowers have a beautiful fragrance that will add another dimension to your wedding bouquet or arrangements. Narcissi and hyacinths are beautiful choices to ensure your flowers have a seasonal feel and also provide a lovely natural perfume that you can carry around all day. Flower choice is endless at this time of year; we really love this gypsophila on the Ceremony Hall chairs, the white sashes combined with the atmospheric lighting really capture the fresh spring feeling.

The bride & groom have exclusive use of the venue from 2pm the day before the wedding, enabling them to hang the dress and decorate the venue, all in plenty of time. This can often be a rushed and stressful job and who needs that the day before their wedding! Here at Crockwell having that exclusivity and time leaves the day before a relaxed one. Woodland themed decorations have been extremely popular this spring; here are a selection of some of our favourites.

Once all the decorating is done the wedding party can go and enjoy a drink and yummy meal at the Royal Oak in Eydon, where they can take advantage of their offer of, 10% off the bill the night before the wedding, for all couples booked to be married at Crockwell.
