1. Come for a show round.

Have a good look at our website – lots of useful information can be found here including our pricing and availability as well as lots of photos of the venue throughout the year. If you like what you see then we would love you to come and see for yourself, and meet the team that make Crockwell special.

You can book a show round via email or phone. We are able to show you around most Saturday and Sunday mornings as well as weekdays until 6pm – you just need to book an appointment first.

At the end of the tour, which will take approximately 45 minutes, we will take a few details and put together a wedding quotation for your chosen date and guest numbers, to include our facility fee, a 3 course meal from the Chopping Block and a basic drinks package.

2. Crockwell is a fully licensed wedding venue

Crockwell has been licensed to hold wedding ceremonies for over 10 years. The service itself is conducted by the Daventry registrar; if you would like to get married at Crockwell then your next step will be to contact the registrar and check availability and possible ceremony times. We always recommend a ceremony time of 2pm if it’s available. This gives you plenty of time during the day to fit everything in, without the need for any long gaps. You can check availability here: yourdaynorthants.com.  You will need to complete an online enquiry form.

3. Marry in your local Church, or ours!

You may prefer to get married in church and then come to Crockwell for your wedding reception. To do this, you will need to contact your church and again, check availability. If you would like to get married in Eydon church, you will need to contact Revered Stevie Cross on: 01327 260204 / crossstevie@hotmail.com. If you don’t live in the parish, you will be required to attend services at the church one a month for six months. St Nicholas is a beautiful village church and this has become a popular option for those wanting a religious ceremony.

4. Reserve your chosen date

If you fall in love with Crockwell (and we hope you do!), your next step is to reserve a date. We do not hold weddings on consecutive days at Crockwell which means you are guaranteed exclusive use of the venue for two whole days – a real treat and not something you will find at many venues. Check our availability calendar and if you find a date that works for you, we will be happy to hold it for you for a week – free of charge while you contact the registrar / church and important family members to make sure that date works for them.

After a week, we will need to know whether or not you would like to go ahead with the booking. We will initially ask you for a £500 deposit in order to secure your chosen date. This is non-returnable; so you need to be pretty confident that you want to hold your wedding at Crockwell. A month later, we ask for a further £2000 to confirm the booking. £1000 of this is forwarded to the Chopping Block to confirm the booking with them, while we retain £1500 which is deducted from your final invoice. Six months before your wedding we will require a further payment, bringing your deposit up to 50% of your estimated total.   Three weeks before your date, we then ask for final confirmation of your numbers and present you with the outstanding balance to be paid.

5. Book the registrar

If you haven’t already done so by this point, you will need to book your ceremony with the registrar which is paid for separately. You can provisionally book a date and time for your ceremony any time, but won’t be able to confirm your chosen date until one year before the wedding.

6. Tell family and friends to save the date.
