A timeless countryside September wedding, wrapped in golden light and elegance.
"We were excited about Crockwell from the moment we watched a video tour and knew it was the one when we came to visit. All the staff we worked with couldn't have been more helpful and friendly."

Philippa & Paul explained that they "wanted to make it a fun, inclusive environment for our family and friends. We were keen to get a balance in the décor between beautiful, impressive surroundings, whilst also keeping it down to earth so that our guests could feel relaxed."
It’s a joy to share this truly breathtaking September wedding.Philippa and Paul married at the beautiful All Saints Church in West Haddon, where Philippa made a stunning entrance in her elegant Serendipity Bridal gown. Paul’s impeccably tailored suit from HRH Holmes, Hitchin added a timeless sophistication that perfectly complemented the soft, whimsical pink florals woven throughout the day.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds slipped into a classic 1962 Austin-Healey, waving to well-wishers as they made their way to Crockwell for their reception. Guests were welcomed with flowing drinks and canapés beneath the sweeping branches of the willow tree. Herb-Pressed Tuna with Salsa Verde, Pea & Mint Arancini and Crispy Pork with Apple Sauce and Crackling were just a few of the highlights enjoyed in the early Autumn sunshine.
Philippa and Paul embraced a whimsical wildflower theme for their reception styling, choosing delicate pressed flower frames for table numbers and signage.
Their celebration continued with a two-course plated wedding breakfast served beneath the starlit marquee, followed by beautifully presented sharing board desserts featuring strawberry cheesecake, lemon tart with fresh raspberries and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Reflecting on their experience at Crockwell, Philippa shared:
“We were looking for a venue that struck a balance between being relaxed and rustic while still having that wow factor. The setting and service made such a difference to the day, and having close family stay overnight meant we could unite our families over breakfast for the first time ever!”

Philippa & Paul's tip for future couples is to "delegate strategically when planning and setting up. Communicate your priorities/vision with vendors and the bridal party. Have a shared document with all the timings for the rehearsal, setup and wedding day that the bridal party and family have access to in advance."
