Noelle & Will’s exceptionally styled winter wedding with a beautiful ceremony in the Church of St Nicholas

Noelle & Will married in December and wanted a festive warm theme, with abundant candles and mistletoe paired with deep greens – a marriage made in heaven only enhanced by the addition of blush pink Protea flowers in a nod to the bride’s heritage.

It’s wonderful to be able to share this truly gorgeous winter wedding.

The couple wed in the Church of St Nichols in Eydon with the bride carried to her groom in a vintage Land Rover Defender so fitting of the rural setting. Noelle was stunning in her sleek backless Pronovias gown while groom Will looked incredible in his custom made suit from Tailors Trotter & Dean, Cambridge who come highly recommended. The pair opted for rustic banqueting tables in the marquee for a relaxed wedding breakfast of sharing boards including 10 hour slow cooked blade of beef. Guests danced the night away to a fantastic band including the groom’s family.

Something that set Crockwell apart from a lot of other venues was the fact you only have one wedding per weekend. The venue then really speaks for itself in terms of décor and rustic country character, it was all just to our taste. Having the accommodation on site was another big deciding factor for us as it made the night before and the night of the wedding so easy for us and our immediate families. We both walked out of our first viewing and knew it was the perfect place!

In terms of shaping our day I think Crockwell strikes a good balance of giving you a bit of a structured plan and helpful advice when planning (very much needed for a pair of wedding novices) but also the flexibility to change things to suit your needs, such as tailoring drinks packages or having round and long tables to choose from.”
