About the Wedding

Kayleigh & Micky married on a beautiful day in August, 2021. We asked them for some insight into their day and here it is!

“I sourced my Stella York dress from Pure Couture in Beaconsfield. I tried on 28 dresses in total! To fit in with an outdoor wedding and my love of flowers I had the flowers sewn on to my dress and also designed the cape with Pure Couture. I didn’t want a veil but wanted extra length on my skirt and to cover my arms and always loved the idea of a cape so I was so pleased with the end result!

Micky and I love nothing more than walking outdoors, live music and a good roast and Italian food, and drink! Anyone that visits us will experience all of that and we wanted that to be reflected in our wedding day. We wanted a very relaxed rustic feel, nothing too polished.

We loved Crockwell the moment we saw it. We really wanted to get married outside and the outdoor area was so magical, the pavilion pathway felt like our own little enchanted space. It was also important for us to have our dog Winston (the ring bearer)! to attend the entire wedding day. We loved the flow of the venue and all the surprises. After the wedding so many of guests said they loved all the surprises throughout the day… the woodland, the gorgeous beams in the bar, the reveal of the marquee, the dance floor curtains and then all the pretty fairy lights in the evening! Every little detail has been thought about at Crockwell and the team just care so much. The views are stunning and we wanted to see them so the windows in the marquee were great. We also wanted to stay at the venue and have our immediate families and bridal party with us. The accommodation options are plentiful and helped us to include so many which made it extra special for everyone else! It just felt perfect for us and what we wanted for our wedding day and all our guests agreed!

Advice to couples? Choose Crockwell of course! But seriously, think about you as a couple and let your venue and all your wedding choices reflect you and what you like. Trust your venue and suppliers,  Don’t try and save money on your photographer and definitely have a videographer! Oh and make sure you have something to plan after the wedding, the wedding blues are real!
