About the Wedding
We are thrilled to be able to share Jodie & James’s fabulous November wedding. Jodie & James had a clear vision for their day which focused on giving their guests an experience to remember, with fabulous food, flowing drinks and great party.
After a year of in-depth planning, everything came together to create their perfect day. The wedding morning started with smiles and bubbly in the make up for bride Jodie while guests arrived at Crockwell ready to climb aboard the wedding bus to the beautiful local church in Blakesley.
After an emotional ceremony the couple headed back to Crockwell on a classic double decker bus to begin the celebrations in earnest. A generous Champagne reception with plentiful canapes preluded the wedding breakfast which started with some beautiful and heartfelt speeches after which the entertainment really stepped up, aided by baby Guiness aperatifs.
Guests were treated to a mouth watering menu, including pan fried scallops followed by 10 hour slow roasted blade of beef, expertly executed by Ross & Ross. Wishing to keep the energy flowing from beginning to end, Jodie and James flew their favourite band all the way from Portugal who played throughout the meal and into the night. The atmosphere was truly electric and something we love to see!
As evening drew in, it was time for the all important first dance but not before a very special father daughter dance. The drinks and dancing flowed freely as guests partied the night away into the early hours. We asked J & J for their advice to those planning and this is what they had to say:
“Carve out time in the day for just you moments. Slow down and don’t stress the small stuff – enjoy every moment and take it in. Trust Crockwell, they are awesome and will make your day exactly as you want it. The day was seamless even with the mad dancing at tables throughout the meal.”
