About the Wedding

Beautiful British bride Jodie met her Brazillian groom, Gus on a dating ap which she was in the process of deleting when his profile popped up. The couple moved to Northampton along with Jodie’s son Noah and started planning their Twixmas wedding at Crockwell after their only venue viewing. The pair loved the flexibility of space and personal touches that set the venue apart. They chose to marry in Byfield Church which provided a stunning backdrop for their vows. The bridal party preparations took pace in the vaulted barn with plenty of space for hair and make up for the seven bridesmaids. Jodie’s Pronovias dress was found and customised at their Bond Street store, and the bride managed to transport it back to Northampton on the train! The Mother of the Bride and bridesmaids outfits were Jenny Packam designed. Both the church and marquee were heavily laden with beautiful Christmas flowers provided by Claire from Hibiscus Floral Design; using deep reds, whites and plenty of foliage, accentuated by candlelight and lots of Christmas fairy lights. Amelia Rose provided beautiful Brazillian wedding cakes again decorated in deep reds and gold. After a delicious wedding breakfast in the main marquee, guests were entertained by a Samba dance trio who really got the evening party started for live band, Soul Factor. We recently received the wonderful news that Jodie is expecting a baby, almost nine months to the day post wedding! Our heartfelt thanks to this fantastic pair and to their talented photographer, Johnny Dent who is a Crockwell favourite, for allowing us to share these images with you.
