About the Wedding
We’re excited to share Fiona and Anthony’s gorgeous September wedding with you. The pair opted for a subtle paired back scheme, making the most of the venue and season. Their photos, by the wonderful Ollie Baines are elegant and timeless and a great reflection of their heartful celebration.
Bride, Fiona says:
“We knew we wanted a small intimate wedding so that we could celebrate with our closest friends and family. It was important to us that everyone would have the best day so made it clear that our bridal party did not have to do anything they were uncomfortable doing.
Because Crockwell already has so much to offer with its venue and finishing touches we wanted to keep in tune with this. We were blown away by the entrance hall and how it reminded us of an Italian setting so we wanted to incorporate this for our theme. We stuck to quite a neutral colour palette with accents of colour throughout and focused on candles to add warmth and create a relaxed atmosphere
Crockwell was the last venue that we went to see and we thought that we had already found our venue, but as soon as we turned in to the driveway we were amazed at its gorgeous setting. We were even more taken aback when walking round the venue with all its beautifully unique rooms and the view out from the wedding breakfast room. It’s just a stunning venue with extra finishing touches even before you add your decorations. Choosing Crockwell meant our closest family could stay with us the day before and day of, waking up their together on the day and leisurely get ready was so lovely, and the accessible room was just perfect for my father to get around on his scooter. Having breakfast with our family before parting ways the next day was also so lovely as we all got to catch up on the day before.”
The day began with a few glasses of bubbles in the make up room and some nervous speech rehearsals from Anthony but that was soon transformed into laughter and smiles all around during the service in the barn. After the all-important confetti shot, the party then moved to the gardens where the guests’ enjoyed canapes, drinks and live music from the wonderful Kelly Barns. Colourful flares made for stunning photos of the Fiona and Anthony along side their ushers and bridesmaids in the gardens.
After the wedding breakfast the bride and her family got to share a very special moment of a traditional Chinese tea ceremony held by Fiona’s mother. As you can see from the photos, the barn was the perfect place to hold this intimate moment.
Slipping into her party dress Fiona and Anthony led the way onto the dance floor for the evening to commence. The dancing started and didn’t stop all night long thanks to the amazing band Get on up evening, even the photographer joined in!
