Introducing Ross & Ross Events

We are delighted to announce that from 2020, we will be partnering with 2018 UK Wedding Award Caterers of the Year, Ross and Ross Events as our sole caterers. We couldn’t be more excited to have found a catering partner local to Crockwell whose ethos and style goes hand in hand with our own.

 

A changing of the guard

We would like to take this opportunity to thank wholeheartedly our caterers for the past eight years, the Chopping Block who have consistently delivered wonderful food and excellent service. The Chopping Block have reached a new stage in their ever-growing business and have chosen to invest in their own projects and concentrate their catering efforts in-house. It’s going to be sad for all of us not to be working alongside them after such a long partnership and we wish them every success. Happily, the Chopping Block will be catering for all weddings at Crockwell throughout 2019, so we don’t need to say goodbye just yet!

A new start, a fresh and exciting approach

Ross & Ross have been catering for weddings and events since 2011. They are based just over the county border from us in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire and have grown a small but dedicated team of excellent chefs with a passion for seasonal and exceptional food as well as a fantastic front of house team who will work closely with Crockwell couples to produce menus personal to the client and their day.

Head chef and Director, Ross Whitmill has a simple and unfussy approach to cooking; producing delicious dishes using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. His menus offer great choice and depth; from elegant fine dining through to relaxed feasting, festival style barbecues and mouth-watering evening snacking. There is an emphasis on sharing which we love; there’s no better ice breaker or talking point for your guests than to be presented with a beautiful platter of lovingly prepared dishes to pass around the table. Favourites with the Crockwell team after a Tasting menu included the Ham Hock Terrine and Crispy Scotch Egg, Salmon Baked in a Banana Leaf, Treacle Tart and colourful mini meringues.

Ross has been busy developing menus tailored to Crockwell clients which are now available to download and peruse below (just click on the image). A three-course sit down meal will be priced from £48 per person, with children catered for from £15.50 and evening food starting at £3.50. As has always been paramount to us, our clients will be very welcome to create their own bespoke menus. Ross & Ross are at heart dedicated foodies and relish the challenge of working with clients to create a meal personal to the couple and their experiences.

We’re keen to get your ideas into the mix, whether you’d like to recreate your first meal together or serve up a homage to a family favourite. Then we do what we’re best at – serving delicious and interesting dishes guaranteed to make your day what it should be; relaxed, happy and unforgettable.”
