Experience
Our family run team have been hosting weddings at Crockwell since 2002. Over the years, we have gained a huge amount of experience which we can use to help guide you through your planning process and wedding day. There aren’t many questions we haven’t been asked or requests we haven’t received! If you read our reviews, you will see that a Crockwell wedding runs seamlessly from start to finish. The layout of the venue helps tremendously with this; your guests flow from room to room with the final evening set up one big open-plan space. Your wedding is not something to be left to chance. When booking a Crockwell wedding, you are placing yourselves in expert hands; take away the worry of wedding planning and enjoy the process with the ultimate support team at your side.
More than just a day
Good times should never be rushed! Crockwell is exclusively yours over three days. Enjoy the beautiful countryside surroundings in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and experience a day that you will never forget. Arrive the afternoon before your wedding bringing your table plan, decorations and ‘the dress’. We will help you with last minute preparations, and go through the order of the day with you. Relax with family and friends over a meal in one of our excellent local pubs or here at Crockwell before retreating to the bridal cottage for all important beauty sleep and perhaps a bath in our deep copper tub. On the wedding day the bridal party can enjoy a breakfast of bucks fizz, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with hair dressers and make up artists in attendance. The groom and ushers may prefer a full english in the farmhouse and we will make sure your paths don’t cross! The day after the wedding, wake up to a traditional English breakfast for all your overnight guests and catch up on the day’s events with your nearest and dearest before jetting off on honeymoon.
Our Bedrooms
Add to this our nine spacious bedrooms within the farm cottages including six family rooms. Our rooms retain the character of the stone farm buildings they once were, but are wonderfully comfortable with power showers and fur throws as well as homemade cakes, fresh fruit, tea and coffee.
Personal Approach
Crockwell is a family owned and run venue. The team you meet on your first show-round will be the same individuals responsible for helping with your planning from day one to the big day itself. We know weddings and we are on hand to help with the smallest of details from recommending suppliers to pinning on buttonholes.
Flexibility
We can tailor the venue to suit any number of guests from small intimate parties of 20 in the ceremony barn, up to 200 for a sit down meal in the marquee. You can marry inside the barn venue (up to 86) or marquee for larger numbers, or outside in the garden pavilion. We have plenty of reception space both inside in the oak-glazed hall and outside in the beautiful gardens. The maximum total number of guests for a wedding or party is 220.
