Please note the following requirements before confirming your reservation:
Quotations
Quotations are based on current prices and are guaranteed for 30 days from the date of issue. Charges are subject to change without prior notice.
Confirmation
At the time of the booking, a written Confirmation of Booking Agreement will be sent and a signed copy of the agreement will be deemed as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
Deposits and Cancellations
The hirer will pay JB Harper a non-returnable deposit of 33% of the total quoted price at the time of a confirmed reservation.
The balance is to be paid with any cheques cleared at least 10 days prior to the event. Any incidentals will be charged for separately after the event, and should be paid in full within 21 days of the event.
Reservations made within 30 days of the event are to be paid in full upon confirmation.
In the event of cancellation, the following charges will be made:
- Cancellation of a confirmed booking - loss of deposit.
- Cancellation of a confirmed booking with less than six months notice - 100% of estimated total charge
Guest Numbers
The hirer shall state the approximate number of guests expected to attend the event at the time of the booking. Final numbers are to be confirmed 21 days prior to the event. The amount then payable by the hirer shall be calculated on this final number or the number actually attending, whichever is greater.
Times of Hire
Access will be made available before the commencement of the event at all reasonable times subject to confirmation and availability.
Catering
Our recommended caterer will deal with all catering arrangements and menus. If you wish to use alternative caterers, it must be with our prior agreement.
Bar
There will be a standard setting-up charge for the bar of £100.00 including VAT. If the bar takings exceed £750.00 for the duration of the hire period this charge will be waived.
Any wine or champagne supplied by the hirer will be subject to our corkage charge. Any other drinks will be supplied by Crockwell.
This charge must be agreed and paid for in advance together with all the other charges. If more wine is consumed on the day of the event, the additional corkage charge will be added to the incidentals invoice and should be settled within 21 days of the event.
From the time of arrival until closure of the bar all drinks consumed on the premises must be bought from Crockwell, or agreed corkage paid.
Damage & Liability
We require a damage deposit of £500.00 10 days prior to the event. In the event of any damage or loss to the property including carpets, fixtures and decorations, a charge will be made from this deposit.
J B Harper or Crockwell will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property belonging to or brought onto the premises by any person, including motor vehicles and their contents, and is not liable for any injury or any loss or claim by or to any person on the premises.
J B Harper or Crockwell will not be responsible for any loss due to mechanical breakdown, failure in electricity supply, fire, flood, Government restriction or act of God which may cause the premises to be temporarily closed or the event interrupted.
All lettings are subject to the acceptance of the terms & conditions of JB Harper as set out above.
